BUT my left side cover gasket is kinda buggered. I noticed when I was starting to look at pulling things apart, that it was looking a little "puckered" but after removing the cover I discovered that it has swelled so badly that it's gained about two inches in length along the bottom side. No way that genie is going back in the bottle!! I'd like to replace it but so far I'm not having much luck finding one.
I realize that it's not a *Super* critical seal, given that there are drain holes that bypass it along the bottom edge and all. I've even seen a few custom builds where they have cut holes in the covers to expose the driven pulleys. I sure wouldn't do that myself but... I'm thinking worst case scenario is that I can just cut a piece out of the swelled gasket so that at least there is something in place there ? Maybe a tiny dab of sillycone at the joint ?
Does anyone know if and/or where a new one might be found ? Or, does anyone have some sort of reasonable workable alternative ?
*EDIT* I have found a set of gaskets for sale that is listed as GL1000/1100. Would those also work for GL1200? They're $90 for the set and I don't want to spend that on gaskets that won't fit.
Thanks in advance,
Timing belts on order...

New OEM are out there if you google by the part number. Expensive but available, like 50 bucks each side IIRC.

11832-MG9-000
But yes I would try trimming to fit.
As for the 1000/ 1100 I have not personally done the measurements but have been told the block is slightly wider so no they will not fit.

The 1200 block is slightly wider than a 1000/1100 due to the longer stroke.

I use a bit of clear RTV to hold the seals in the cover, makes it much easier to install the belt covers. Gotta be careful not to plug the drains though.
