Removing steering shaft nut?

How does one remove the odd nut on top of the steering shaft without the tool from Honda? Or, alternatively, where can one buy the tool from Honda?

Thanks for the help!

what I took was a drift or a large screw driver and a hammer to pound it off... crude, but it works.... you can also make your oown tool.... take a 1/2" drive socket that is round enough for the thing... then cut it so you have four "tangs sticking out that will fit the holes in the nut.... you still might need and impact driver to get it started unless you have a large socket handle (or helper bar) try also soaking it with wd-40 over night.... sometimes a little propane torch heat and then blasting with wd-40 helps the cappillary action and penetration

they shouldnt be that tight a brass drift works great.

that's what I thought, but I think mine was a little rusted as well. I used a steel pipe of proper diam., cut to fit the notches and a pipe wrench with cheater bar.

if it is rusted, make sure you use a liberal amount of penetrating oil or wd-40 to help!
