The radiator cap is located sorta below the reserve coolant tank ...left side of bike ....you have to remove the seat and the top compartment and tool tray .... do you have a manual ...there is a link for one at this site ......i ll see if i can find it ...

Changing the coolant? 2 steps, just like every other job:

1) read the shop manual

2) do what the shop manual says

If this sounds a bit sarcastic it isn't meant that way. These bikes are antiques and we are pretty much on our own as far as keeping them running. The best thing you can do to ensure the continued (& maybe even increasing) safety of your machine is to get a shop manual and use it.
There is information on the General page about downloading the factory shop manual if the link Queenie provided doesn't work for some reason (it worked for me).
I recommend getting at least 2 different shop manuals. That way if you don't understand what one is trying to tell you the other one might make more sense, or maybe between them you can figure it out.

That said, to get to the rad cap you must:
1) Remove the seat - 2 allen bolts under the sides near the back (if you have Honda bags there is a hole in the top edge below the rubber that allows the allen wrench in)
2) Remove the shelter (Hondaspeak for the housing that sits where the gas tank is on lesser bikes & shelters the electrical stuff & the air cleaner) - 2x 6mm bolts (10mm wrench) that were covered by the seat and another on each side near the front. I find it easier if the glove box tray is removed first.

I highly recommend reading my article about cooling systems at: http://www.ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2805
