4 in 1 exhaust

#1

Post by jman19 »

Hi I am a new member to this site, and I am looking for a little help. My father currently has a 1976 gl 1000 that he bought brand new in 1976. It is completely customized with a 4 in 1 exhaust. He has always said he should have bought more than one set looking back. I would love to give my father this gift someday. After significant wear and tear he is looking for a new 4 in 1 exhaust for his wing. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP??

I'm the guy jman19 is trying to help. (His Father) I can't remember the name of the pipe but it'll come to me. All the modifications I made to the bike were done in 1978. But I know it was not a Kerker. At one time you could buy different ratio ring and pinion gears and a single down draft Weber setup for these machines but none of those items are available any more. For the guy with the lowering question, they make (made) a set of lowering blocks that put the bike 2" lower. I don't know if they still make them, but I have a set on mine.

Hi and welcome aboard jimg. thup
The only one I know was a Marshall 4 into 1
aftermarket exhausts.

jimg , I always wandered how they put anykind of lowering blocks on the drive shaft side of the wing . you sure do not want anything lying down on top of the white metal axle housing . I'd like to see a picture of that area with the lowering block if you would please .

Hey Zryder I finally got a picture of my 76 on the album section and it does show(you might have to squint) the lowering block on the right side.

I think the rims are from a '83 GL1100, but I think Robo can give
you the fact.
