Front brake does not work

Front brake does not work
I decided to bleed my front brake and was foiled from the start. I could not get the master cyclinder to pump out any fluid. I took out the banjo bolt at the master cyclinder and pumped the lever to see if any fluid would come out and nothing. Everything worked fine before I started the process. What could have gone wrong?

What method were you using to bleed the brakes? From a manual or from experience?
