Just happened to be same weekend as bike races at Mid Ohio, only twenty minutes away. Would be an awesome party spot for Wingers to stay during the Min-Rally. Just a thought. Check the website. anim-cheers1

Made it to Mid-Ohio last July - got to get back this year with Old Yeller.

I'm in the Pittsburgh area. If any of you easterners are coming through the 'burgh on your way to the meet, please let me know - I'd like to hook up for the ride over.

FutureBoy, it will be great to see you at Mid Ohio with Old Yeller. I'm sure as we get closer we will figure out a method to exchange cell phone numbers but no rush at the present.

Fred Camper - I am in South Lyon, MI and if you are interested we could ride down as a group to Oldewings place Columbus Thursday for the barbeque. I rode with Oldewing and RAT to Randaaks Rally last year in VA and a nicer pair of brothers cannot be found! I plan to camp in his yard, and at the Vintage Days. Be nice to have fellow riders on the trip down.

Interesting... I have family (mom actually) 20-30 minutes away from Lexington, a naked Goldwing that seems to be running pretty well and almost a month of unused vacation time. I checked my schedule... I have gigs the weekend before and after, but not that weekend. Sometimes it seems like you are just supposed to do some things. I have tentatively added this to my calendar. I am watching with great interest the route plans people are making. It would be cool to hook up with some of you guys.

I'm pretty much a newb to street riding though. This might be my first "long" run. lol I did a quick 120 miles the other afternoon, 60 of it being chased by a thunder storm. I think I can do the 370 miles or so to Lexington. I've put around 400 miles on the bike in the last few days to "shake it out". So far so good. I plan to ride to Indy with some friends for the 500 this year. If it makes that without problems, I should be good to go. Hmm... maybe I should look into some rain gear.

Yeah, I think this would be cool.

Oldewing and I were out today scouting rides in the area.

Rode the (apparently well known) 'triple nickel', Ohio Highway number 555.

Its a 10 !! Amazing twisties and elevation changes.

On the elevation changes .... remember this is Ohio .... Maybe 1000 feet.

You also need to try Rt 26. Lots of up and downs into valleys. You also might consider a cover bridge ride.

About half way on the "Triple Nickel" we stopped for gas. A local came up to us with " I got one just like it", cept for differnent color and year, well you know the drill. After gassing up he came back over, said he was having his truck painted and at the shop was a 75 in for paint that had been left with out payment. He said the owner wanted it gone, left him my business card for future contact.

And the 555 is a great road, we wanted to do 26 also but missed and will make it next trip..

OK Greg so running to your house with a truck and trailer what route do you recommend? 64 to 77 up to 70 and across to Gahanna? Google recommends 33 off of 77 up to 270.

Also a general announcement on this regarding the sale of parts. I will be bringing a trailer load of "Stuff" and it will be up for display/ sale. Any one else that would like to place items for sale is welcome but due to the cost of the site rentals for the swap meet 20% of any sales will go back to NGW as opposed to the 10% I originally stated in the first post of this thread. Sorry for the change.

I think I have two bikes going, possibly three if everything lines up just right, but with college age kids running every which direction it is hard to keep a count.

One, two, or maybe three.....
