The wind has been blowing most of the week but has finally laid down to a reasonable level. I think it is time to exercise the 1000 dresser. I listed it on marketplace yesterday so I guess I best make sure it is running right

Our forecast says 9c & sunny this afternoon, not too bad for the time of year.
Last month I was waiting for that pile of snow to melt so I could move Mr.H from the shed to the garage. It is pretty much gone now but the garage is going to be too full for the foreseeable future and I won't have time anyway.
Did I mention that we have a 20' "seacan" (shipping container) on one side of the driveway and a "mini bin" on the other side?
We've been leaving the door from the house to the garage open most of the days so that we can carry stuff out to the garage. On cooler days we accumulate a bunch in the garage, then close the door to the house and open the overhead door and move it from there to the container and bin but on days like this we leave both doors open and take it right out.
I had entered the dates for garden stuff in my calendar before the storm but dealing with the flooded basement comes first. By now I should have had the greenhouse up with stuff growing in it and had the beets, rutabagas, peas and carrots planted.
At this point I'm planning to take the time to plant the seedlings that were started before the storm/power outage/flood and maybe a few seeds if it isn't too late after the basement is empty and that will be all for this year.

We saw 16c here this afternoon. It was so nice out I opened windows at both ends of the basement to let fresh air go through.

We have been having some beautiful Spring Weather. Yesterdays ride was almost perfect. Today is supposed to be a few degrees warmer with highs in the mid 70's. Need to turn wrenches for a couple hours this morning so I can ride this afternoon

Not in St. Louis, but here in west Mi we had aq couple of tornados and some high wind. And a lot of rain. Most of it went north, south, and east of us. Had a little yard cleanup. A lot of power outage. some street signals still not working. I never lost power. Got lucky.

No tornadoes here in the Kawarthas but we are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Heavy rain, strong winds and up to toonie sized hail.
About 10 minutes ago I was putting stuff into the seacan, hearing distant rumbles and keeping an eye on the sky that was gradually turning darker. I came inside to grab a couple more things to fill one of the filing cabinet drawers (no point wasting space in them is there?) and when I went back the sky had opened up and it was pelting down. I closed the container's door in a hurry but I'll probably have to mop in there when it is over
It sounds like it has let up a bit but I think I'll work on indoor stuff for a while anyway.

The sun is shining now and the warning is over but I think there's a bit more on the way.

Gents;
If only the rain would stop and things could dry out. Can't ride, can't mow the lawns, just too darn wet !
UGH.
But with my wife's dementia as it is I cannot ride to much anyway, I cannot leave her alone for too long.
Best Regards;

It dried out enough here yesterday (Friday) for me to get ours mowed. Today was just overcast and damp.
If the forecast is right I should be able to start hardening off the tomatoes & eggplants so I can get them planted as soon as the overnight lows are warm enough (this week I hope).

We have had some storms but mostly some beautiful spring weather. Knee is good enough that I can walk behind the mower about 20 minutes at a time. I split the yard into 4 sections and am doing a section a day. Today is the last one and that will be caught up. Making progress.

I've been following your progress on your knee and I'm glad to see it has been going so well. My wife has had two failed knee surgeries and is in a wheel chair. So I was a little concerned for you. However if she had had your exercise discipline, her outcome may have been as good as yours. Keep up the good work

The sun is trying to shine here but it is a bit hazy because of the smoke blanketing most of the eastern half of North America.
It's in the 28-60 ppm range here right now but it should be lower most of the day. Click this to see how bad it is going to be in your area
