Joking aside, there may be a day...just maybe...when darkness covers the land and all will be filled with fear. When our bikes (along with us NGW Apostles) age out of existence. When eBay says "0 results for GL1100." When Honda Goldwing service techs universally fade into retirement. And when the rumble of our Naked Goldwings become relics of a century past, found only in museum pieces and July 4th parades. Thanks to sites like ours, I'm betting against this day. But if this day comes, despite our valiant efforts to hold it back, like the crashing seas, well...that grim day will be filled with anguish.

But as Aragorn said, today is not that day. No indeed. Today, We Ride.
I did hit 80, and I feel it. I'm going to spend a few days riding with Gord up in Canada this week which help me figure out my bike days left. They may be numbered ....... or maybe not crossy.gif crossy.gif

Procedure today was great. Easily past 90 degrees and it seems like every time I exercise it goes further. Have a 8 PT sessions over the next 2 weeks. Gonna work hard. Really optimistic about the recovery now.

100 degrees of knee bend this morning at the Terrorists. Not sure what the target is but I know I need more. Still lacking about 10 degrees in straightening that I need to work on. They have really been punishing the quad trying to get those muscles working again so in a fair amount of pain all the time but making progress. Looking forward to 2 days off this weekend!!

Target is 110 degrees of flex and full (straight) extension … more flex is better if there are motor cycles involved … 110 will do most stairs …

Walked the Big Dog then another painful PT session, mowed the yard, then to the Back Doc for a SI Joint Injection. All together just shy of 5 miles of walking today. Knee is doing really well. The lead PT Lady said we would change things up tomorrow and work on more stretching and less muscle building. Hopefully that will give me some relief in the Quad. They are trying to build it back up so it has basically been worked to failure each of the last 3 days.

Asked the Back Doc about the SI Issue and he said the vast majority are from being manipulated on the surgical table. Most happen during Hip replacements but some during knee. He was confident the Steroid injection should fix it up. Sure hope so.

107 is very good … keep up the effort … heat doesn’t make it easy, had a 6 1/2 hour ride today and nearly melted too

Introduced Rusty to the stretches I need help with last night. She can be a tiger if I am not taking care of myself. She will keep me honest while we are on our trip. 4 more days of therapy then we head out on Friday.
