75 master cylinder order

#1

Post by dartman1962 »

Hello everyone!

Well, I guess I’m getting forgetful!
I can’t remember the order for where the plastic washer goes on my 75 gl1000.
I think this is correct. It doesn’t show it in the manual & I don’t remember. 😔

Help! 😊

Yes, it is Jeff !

I believe the plastic washer slips over the already installed rubber boot and that final retaining ring bears against the plastic washer, instead, to prevent direct contact injury onto the rubber boot's, 'flange'.

ShopTalk has all the specifics

Thanks everyone!
I have the Honda manual & it didn’t show that plastic washer in the diagram location.
I finally went to the parts fiche / manual & there it was! Just as gltriker pointed out in shoptalk!

Thanks again!😎

BTW, not related but I ordered a fork brace from the place some people don’t like.
I didn’t see any more, so!
I see some people have also used one from there!

I think 'they' have got their act together some … better than the old days anyway … looks like a Markland brace but I don’t see a brand name

Yes, it’s a Markland. I think it will improve the handling.
I seen one on the forum here from
namanaxx pictures & it looked pretty cool.

Fork braces are really nice on these old fillies with skinny tubes. Nice you found one.
Off topic, but which headlight are you using and do you like it?

I bought an LED H4 kit from electrical connection
It’s definitely better than the original.
