Re: Harbor Freight Lift 1000 lb Lift - Fatal Flaw - Read This
A couple of years ago I posted in this thread that mine was the 68892 version. I don’t remember how I made that determination, but I’m pretty sure that I would not have posted that if it weren’t the case. 33.3 definitely made me go look to see about the pivot shaft for the Jack. Mine protrudes well into the collar and shows absolutely no sign of distress. I was relieved. This table has endured heavy usage and hasn’t missed a beat. I think I got lucky, too. Or maybe a relatively small percentage of them have issues.

I have the same one that looks like the above pic - it's had everything on it from little 125's to my current GL1000, all 576 lbs of her, at both the lower setting an higher setting - my lift also has a tendency to "slide down" and been caught by the retaining bar (probably need to bleed the pump), but other than that no problems ever. I bought mine, gosh...eight years ago...? I love it...!

Almost all of them might be great but if one guy got hurt because these 14 pages didn't happen it would be a sad day. I didn't stick my nose in a stranger's business once and to this day wish I had. Check your lifts carefully my friends, I plan to.

I can understand that. It made me look at mine. Which is built stronger then yours, and after several years, is still fine. But thanks for the heads up.

I think I got a good one too. But I'll look a little closer now.

I have had one for over ten years; had everything from a CB 350 F to a 1500 Wing to a Cub Cadet lawn tractor and never had a problem or felt unsafe.

I checked mine today. Looking OK with a CB750 K0 on it. I laughed when I looked at the pictures, I gave mine the same finger probe to check the depth of the pivot pin. One side is for sure deeper than the other.
I remember loading a big block Chevy Dart block race engine with it's aftermarket case powerglide transmission on the bike lift. That had to be the heaviest thing it ever lifted.

Funny this thread popped up again today. As I have noted earlier, I have encountered several professional shops around here who use these tables and are happy with them. I visited yet another today (making a purchase) and the guy had three of them. I asked him how they've treated him. He says that he's had zero problems under constant usage for over five years.

I looked at both of my HF lifts and they both have solid steel bars with a welded ring as shown in the other pictures,,, good to know though. Thanks

The lifts may be great but the eye candy on the lifts looks better still

now I'm all concerned. My bar is solid, but it contacts the small edge of a sheet rather than something bent. The lift is item #69904. I bought it used, so don't know the original age. It's held up fine for multiple years.
Without reading the entire 14 pages of comments ... should I be concerned? Yes, I realize one of the screw down feet is bent. the other is functional.
