welcome to our home Don...

for the hassle that it is to dismantle, you may well be better off obtaining a second hand one...

is it the odo only? you could try a good contact cleaner squirted into the unit...or try blowing out lightly with compressed air...

meanwhile, pull up a chair and enjoy your stay with us............ ;)

Don,

Before you open up the odometer have you checked the cable?

Disconnect it from the back, raise the front wheel, spin the wheel. Does the cable inside spin?

Just a brandy induced thought.

This has the electronic dash, etc. The electronic odometer and speedometer works but not the mechanical that keeps total mileage. Is there a cable from the electronic to the mechanical (must be very short) or does the mechanical run off another drive rather than the front wheel?

Thanks,

Are brandy induced thoughts better than those induced by vodka?!

The electronic trip meter and speedometer work but not the mechanical odometer that keeps total miles.

Do you happen to know if the mechanical odometer runs off another cable rather than the one from the front wheel that runs the electronic portion or is there a very short cable from the electronic odo-speedo to the mechanical odometer?

Thanks,
Don U.
