I got there long before the rain came. That was right at 7am though. I spent a lot of time looking around for parts. Got to spend just a few minutes at the NGW tent. Met WF, oldewing and rat. I was hauling a load of parts out to my truck when the first rain started. I just went ahead and came on home then.

While the rain dampened things in the morning to early afternoon, the crowd was way down and the picking was good. Looks like a perfect day today.

You can tell those pics were taken on Saturday. There was no sun on Friday.
Rowdy, The NGW tent was right along the road. In the corner as you would walk around the swap meet area. You need to go back on Sunday and look harder. ;)

Dagnabbit!

I was all set to go on my first long trip in years, and was really looking forward to it.

Then I was told I was needed at work for some long days on Fri, and Sat for an urgent assignment, my kids had some school meetings, and my friend with the BSA wasn't able to break free. !!!!! how?

I did get almost 500 miles of great rural road riding time by myself these last few days, but unfortunately didn't leave Illinois.

Every time I saw an old Wing headed north on I-57 I wondered if they were headed for the Ohio meet. At one time on Fri. I was passed by an old stripped down and loud GL1000 that looked in a real hurry to go north. Was he headed there?

If I wasn't careful, I could start wondering whether every bike that drove by could be going....

I suppose I missed the best rides or meets for this summer, or are there more coming up within reach of Il, MO, KY, S. Ind ?

This was THE ONE I wanted to make. mumble mumble groan ....

I hope everyone else had a great time.

I found the NGW booth today (uh, yesterday I guess) and picked up my (last) shirt. (Thanks RAT) The booth is in the northwest corner of the swap meet area, right by the demo ride area.

I hear ya. I took a bit of a look around. I'm not buying much right now so the swap meet was mostly wishful thinking. I watched a bit of the road racing, hit up a few of the show areas, and then headed out for an afternoon of riding. There are several enjoyable sections of road in the area.
