Headed down Thursday, may be heading through Toledo (hard to avoid from a SE Michigan perspective, and a nice ride through anyway) but I am not the tour guide so cannot be sure.

DJ and kYpondman: Are you still planing on going early? I can't make it any sooner than the 8th and will be heading home on Sunday, the 11th.

I still plan on going but right now I can't say which days.
My daughter is coming back from overseas and has to take a big test on the 8th to get into a medical school, and my son with the new bike has to be in Tennessee that weekend.
As it looks right now, I might have to make a decision whether to go for a couple days by myself, and then come back to get my daughter (on the 9th?) and possibly the friend with the BSA, or just wait and start out on the trip very late with a very small group.

If all works well, I wouldn't mind running out there twice just for the fun of it, but I do not know yet.

If I do get to start early, what day would be a good day to ride with a group of wanderers?

Did KYPondman say yet when his best day to travel up thru Southern Ill would be?
I have some cool country roads to suggest.

If we head up on the 9th mid day, would we still be able to catch a caravan or something?

I'm still planning on going! Got my tickets. Not sure yet when I'm leaving, wife is planning her own trip on either the 6th or 7th, so will probably be one of those days. After, I'm looking at going up through Michigan and taking the Ludington-Manitowac ferry to wisconsin, then down to meet my wife in Greenfield, WI, then home! I'm open to any suggestions on good routes! anim-cheers1 Also open to joining anyone along the way!

Hope to meet you Claude at Mid Ohio, then maybe we can gather a couple of Michigan bound groups together (if our numbers are excessive) and travel together at least part way on your longer journey.

Well, it looks like it's gonna be close for me, time is fast aproaching and I still have to finish the seat, rebuild carbs, rebuild rear master cyl, paint the wheels, mount new tires, hang the exhaust (Sportster muffs), wring out the wiring and then fire it up for the first time and see what issues I have.
Nice to have goals but I won't take shortcuts to achieve them... wish me luck.

I agree, anything that takes 15 minutes or more should not be done twice. But do consider early the must do's from the ultimate but can wait nice to do items. We hope you can make it.

HD, I'm with Fred on this. Cosmetics can wait til the weather gets bad or you've got more time. Get her running and shook out. We won't tease you if the rims are dirty.

Thank you PaulJack for posting this over here. I had all but forgotten about the tee's and would have missed it altogether if not for your timely post. Sure hope you get the order up to 20, if not I will get another.

Thanks guys... those are the "must do's", :orange I think it's a manageable list as long as nothing throws me a curve. Since I am bustin down the tires for fresh rubber, painting the wheels will be a piece-o-cake!

Update on the Shirts...

First - Congratulations to Sunnbob for his winning design.

Second - We're really close to the minimum order amount.

Third - I'm going to continue taking orders through Sunday. I'll be submitting the artwork today and have the official shirt order entered on Monday. I don't have the ability to monitor orders on Monday so I'm stopping taking orders Sunday night. If you've not ordered your shirt yet, you still have time!

Streetwing78, When are you going to the Mid Ohio? I will probably only be able to go down and back on Saturday. Maybe we can get together one way or another. What are the group's plans on Saturday? With all of the help I received on my resto, I would really like to put some names and faces together.
Hope for the best, expect the worst and take what comes!
