An outstanding gesture

Post by KLACKO »

I heard from a good friend of mine in Norway. To help the victims of the tsunami, folks there are changing their New Year's Day plans. Instead of the traditional celebrations, many across Skandanavia are taking the money set aside for buying fireworks and are donating it instead. Imagine the good that could be acomplished if even half the money spent on champagne here for New Year's Eve could be sent to help instead...

Thank you for posting this KLACKO
A lot of (may all) norwegian families will give money to countries around the Indian Ocean after this huge catastrophe. Norwegian officials and tour operators said Tuesday that hundreds of vacationing Norwegians remain among the missing after deadly tidal waves struck countries around the Indian Ocean. The confirmed death toll was expected to keep rising. Over thousand tourists from Sweden are missing.

Buy fireworks folks, but don't forget to send money to help this countries.

If you go to http://www.amazon.com you can make a donation to the American Red Cross to help the Tsunami victims.
