Waverley Road, May 25/2010 More
Waverley Road, May 25/2010 The Waverley Road was the first paved road in Nova Scotia. It's a winding two lane blacktop from Dartmouth to Fall River and beyond, with a chain of lakes on one side and a mixture of older cottages and newer upscale lakeside retreats on the other. The road features 128 rolling turns and no intersections for the fist 15 kilometers, after which there is a Tim Horton's coffee shop. The road then continues past even more lakes (including Grand Lake, where Sydney Crosby has his summer home) into Truro some 80km away. Consequently, you will often find upwards of 100 bike's at Tim's on any fine evening who have ridden in or out of the greater Halifax area. My favorite local piece of asphalt.
