Non-air suspension tachometer

Seeing how I eliminated the air suspension on my GL 1100 I’d like to eliminate the air suspension light
Seems like the easiest way is to find a non-air suspension tachometer.
I know the 1979 did not have air suspension and wondered if that tachometer would match the 81 speedometer. Actually on my bike it’s an 83 speedometer.
Or would I need to replace both the tach and speedo?

Dugg. I'm not remembering exactly how I eliminated that issue on my GL1100s when I went with sprung shocks, but I think I connected the wires at the air-fill valve unit down near the rear master.

Did I ground it? I'm not recalling, but the fix seemed pretty obvious to me at the time.

The light comes on when I turn the key, then it goes off one its own right away - as though the system was functioning.

I’ve grounded the wire so the light stays off. But I want to eliminate the light completely.

I'd find a use for the light.
FWIW, the '83 GL1100 has a purple Overdrive light (comes on when you shift to 5th) in the tach instead of the red Suspension pressure light that the earlier 1100s have. When I replaced the original engine with the '79 engine (doesn't have the overdrive light switch) I wired the light to come on with the brake light.

I appreciate the suggestion Bob.
The only thing I could think I would wire it to would be the cooling fan.
But that would leave “Rear suspension air pressure” label next to it.
Actually, don’t think the light is really the issue. It’s the label. I know it’s a minor detail, but the motorcycle no longer has nor will it ever have air suspension on it again.

Uh, I think duct tape would be better for the high speed application.
