Can I restart my restorations finally???!!!

Well. It’s been almost two years ago that I last posted that I was able to get back into restoring the remaining gold wings I have left. Reattached my elbow tendons that broke, THEN my old shoulder rotator cuff blew out and I had to re-do all 4 tendons and reattach my bicep muscle, then while still dropping wrenches and nuts we found both wrists had severe Carpal tunnel damage and cut both of those to repair. So that was 5 more surgeries last year.. ok so now this year is my year!! NOPE found a large, benign tumor on my back rib cage under the muscles and tangled in the ribs. which will be a hard surgery to remove so they say. Maybe by summer everything will be good and I can be on my way to my 3rd bike of the month. I had a red 75, and my wife’s yellow.. maybe my next will be a blue/green 75???? Or another red that in the que????? I can hope!!!

Good looking bikes, and quite the garage! I could barely squeeze two into my two-car as my other fun project (85 Trans Am) and wood working tools take up a lot of space. Pushed the 84 off into a corner until it gets a turn on the table. Best of luck with the surgery, and fingers crossed you'll be wrenching by June!

Not sure on this next 75 gl. It’s a red one. I painted frame with ceramic 3 years ago now. Had to lightly rebuild/refresh the engine and weld the front left engine mount. It’s all painted and ready to re assemble. I only have to replace the coils on the blue/green 75 that’s been on the right rack for 4 years now!!! Dammit there’s a complete build record in the restorations forum on this one. I don’t think I have anything on a forum for the red one yet

I also took a break to restore two cbx’s. A 1979 and a 1980. Love them!! But here’s where I left off on the red 75. Got it stripped down and painted the frame, tank, swing arm and other black bits with PJ-1 ceramic. Refresh on the engine and painted and everything else that goes with a restoration,, almost.
