Well I could post a bunch of pics of my new Great Granddaughter... Born 2 days ago, Vienna Roe Jones, healthy and happy 8 pounder, 20 inches. And Mother Haylee is great also.

Why do you think that the forum is so slow?

This is the premier site for these cool old bikes.

Hard to say why it's slow. Maybe the season. But I'm coming up on 25 thousand posts, so I feel I'm doing my part

It's the time of year. Other bike forums are slow too. A lot of people have put their bikes into off season storage so they aren't thinking about them and they haven't started to feel withdrawal yet and people are getting pre-winter outdoor stuff done before starting their winter shop projects.

Over the last month I've I cleared out the garden & pruned the trees, prepared Eccles for the winter riding season, moved Mr.H into storage and started to find stuff too do indoors. I spent the last 3 days installing flooring in Mum-in-law's rec room.
I did mention some of the garden stuff in the Weather thread but I figured you guys wouldn't want to hear all the details about the garden.
I don't expect you'd be interested in Mum-in-law's basement; I'll post the pics of that on a home improvement forum later this afternoon so I could post it here too if you folks let me know you are that desperate to read something.
I did post about putting M.H away and I expect to publish the Last Ride of the Year video today.
I didn't think you'd be interested in Eccles' new exhaust, mirrors & trunk but if you let me know I can post about that here too.
I won't turn the Xmas lights on for 2 or 3 weeks but I want to put them up before freeze-your-fingers weather gets here so I could post abut that too if there is any interest.

Not that surprised. Given the forum is dedicated to a relatively small number of models most technical topics are already well covered. Wrong time of the year for road trip reports I guess.
I have posted on a few topics but most of my experiences with the GL1000 have already been well documented by others here.

I am also a member of the Kettle Club which is only for the Suzuki GT750. While the forum is more active than this one, there are only a small number of regular posters in proportion to the club membership total. There is only so much you can say about one bike model! The Kettle Club forum is only available to paid up club members incidentally.

Perhaps cost of resto and custom work is also a factor. Here in the UK it's getting very expensive. Add to that early Wings only have a small following here hence only a handful of UK contributors on the forum.

TURN IT UP BOYS AND GIRLS...

Yup, I'm definitely winding down for the season. I got the 750 calmed down enough to move it back into the garage, and within a day or two it'll be time for Sta-bil and draining all the carbs. All 15 of them....



I still got photos from my Barber trip, but converting all 200+ of them to forum-viewable would be a major pain.

On the plus side, I'll be cracking apart my KZ1300 carbs for the first time in a LONG while this winter. So here's hoping that proves fruitful.

I've never been one to put my bikes away for half the year.
If the weather is good enough to ride... we're riding.

Ice and salt for me. I might pull one out if things are particularly nice, but of my collection only my 90 is going to be left in "ready-to-go" condition, I think.

I also learned that the carb drains on the Valkyrie are integrated into the overflow hoses, so you don't get gas all over your engine when you open the drain screws. It's REALLY quite nice.
