I have not been on the site much in the past few years. This is my 76. 69k miles. I put the last 37k miles over the past several years. Been a lot of fun riding and showing it.

No it is not the original paint. I still have the original panels, but they are faded, and the "tank" side stripes were gone. I found used panels on Ebay and had them painted. I put the stripes on and then cleared them. I did not do the paint work. My good friend Roger did that for me. Roger was a good friend and a Vietnam vet. He passed a few years ago.

Wiskerfish, I think I misunderstood your question. My bike is an original yellow 76. I just had to repaint it to bring it back to it's original glory. I have owned it for about 20 years. I had a bike years ago but life got in the way. When I started to look again later in life, I found Randall ( Randakk) Washington on the internet and fell in love with these bikes. I have always had vehicles that are a little different. I found it on Ebay and a friend of mine drove to Chicago to pick it up. It had a non-stock exhaust and a Vetter fairing. I had it off the trailer for 10 minutes when I removed the fairing.

I just logged back in and was REALLY SUPRISED to see my bike as BOTM. It was not expected but thank you all for the nomination. I went for a ride today, excellent weather here in Kansas City, and the bike just turned 70k miles. I have received a lot of help and support over the years from this site. There is a tremendous amount of free information and advice here and it is appreciated.

This the most recent picture. I belong to the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club and I was at a show at a local airport. The show was at the hanger for the Commemorative Airforce, formally the Confererate Airforce. They had a photographer there who took this picture. I just want to know who is the fat old man on my motorcycle.

Looks like someone in the club. I am sure we will get to the bottom of it. At first I could not see the man and the bike since it was photo bombed by a yellow 395.
