Who are the "best of best" carb rebuilders?

#1

Post by DET17 »

I've got a full core set of the proper carb for my 76 GL1000 LTD.

Considering my focus for the next year will be primarily construction related (retirement property), I've decided to farm out the carb overhaul to a pro.

Please post recommendations in this thread, and why you would use THEM in particular.

Thanks, folks!

The only one I wouls trust is "Robin 1731" here on NGW. Why?. Years of experience...never had a complaint about his work....Randakk aproved....I could go on and on. I have seen him work, and he really knows how to do it right the first time. With out a question, the best of the best

My vote as well. He keeps his business kind of low keyed compared to some. I know there are several on FB tooting their own horns constantly but I know Rob and his methodology and if I did not do my own that is who I would use.

Thank you all for the recommendations, which speak volumes.

I've reached out to Robin via PM, and hope to hear soon & get the process started.

MagnaAndy at the Carb Spa also gets good reviews, but he specializes in V4 carbs. I've never used him, since I do DIY. Maybe consider him a back up if needed.
