Got the wheels sand blasted today and pulled all the bearings to be replaced. Tires should be in this week also so maybe, maybe it will be ready for a test ride by the end of this week.

wingrider, I was offered a set of nearly new leather bags for a Harley, but at the time I was thinking of recreating Dragon Wing so I passed but if they are still available I might put them on the Camel, thus the need for a carrier.

Well, now I am curious. I was thinking of the carrier for the Honda trunk and bags, is the rear rack different? I am not sure I have seen one before.

The rack I have was part of a backrest that I sold to one of the members. If you would be interested, I can certainly get you a picture of it.

After sandblasting, the bearings had to be replaced so I am waiting on them. The paint is rattle can metalic in a dark gray. I put the primer on before mounting the tires but to keep the final finish from getting marred up I opted to paint with the tires on. This seems to work well. Got my "blinker box" and everything worked on first attempt. Three black wires into three strangely marked spades was just a gamble but it worked first try. BUT I discovered the front blinkers were wired backwards so I had to open the headlight and reverse the pins. Hope my problems get no larger than that.

Bearings arrived for the rear wheel so it was time to get out the multi-tool and lift the bike off the blocks to make room to mount the tire.
