Hello all, I picked up a ‘78 GL1000 from a college friend last September because I like the 78/79 gage setup and was contemplating transferring some goodies from my much beloved ‘77 (such as the Weber 40IDF’s and even perhaps the 1200cc engine I’ve been lugging around for such a case). But my work life has gotten very complex and with it likely a need to relocate. Thus my spare time just went to virtually nil for a while, so I’ve decided to thin the herd.
I did transfer the Randakk oil filter upgrade, braided brake lines for the front, Dyna ignition and coils. The carbs are stock and need to be serviced and honestly if I were to do it the first thing I would do is remove and discard and replace with the Webers. She runs great at mid throttle and up; idle and low rpm not as smooth.
I’m in Savannah but will be traveling in Nov to VA if that helps any. Asking $2k. Clear GA title in my name.
