GL 1000 Cafe Racer.

#1

Post by Boombang »

Hello all.
My name is Rich and I live in the U.K.

I'm just begining an exciting project that I know some of you have now finished, as finished as they ever are.
I haven't even bought the GL 1000 yet.

My project will be a Cafe Racer build based on a GL 1000.
Back in 1983 I had a brand new GL 1100 and I loved it.
I've been motorcycling for 50 years now, OMG! I'm sooo old now.
Like lots of you I've had lots of different bikes.
I've not had a bike now for some years but now that I'm retired and the summers in the U.K. are getting so much hotter over the last 5 years I've decided to enjoy the great outdoors again.

Well that's the plan.
So it's lots and lots of reading and getting ideas and help from you chaps.
I hope one day to put back knowledge into this forum when my build is done.
I've seen some beautiful GL 1000 Cafe Racers and I'm going to join that ownership club.

Regards.
Rich.
