1984 gl1200 aspencade
66k miles
I got the bike from my best friends dad after sitting for 6-7 years I stripped the bike down to engine and frame. We checked the compression and it was good to go so I then emptied all fluids and flushed all system and replaced with new fluids, including all master cylinders, and put a new stainless clutch cable. I then sanded and painted any surface rust on the frame, there wasn’t much (it sat under a cover).
I then completely rewired the bike using factory connectors for just the basics, ignition, charging system, starter, cooling fan, headlight and taillight. That is it nothing else.
A front end off of a 95 zx9r was installed, with a brand new tire, and rebuilt the brake calipers.
Rear suspension was replaced with a fox shock from a new Indian Chief custom machined in house.
Tank is off of a 83 since that year they didn’t connect to the front and side fairings.
Tail light is a single housing multi LED with built in tag light mounted to a tag bracket at the rear axle.
Headlight and brackets are custom.
The seat was custom made for this bike and is matched to the rear fender.
Ignition key and push button start where relocated to the top of the tank.
The carbs where inspected and cleaned.
If you have any other questions just ask I’m sure I left something out.

Re: Pretty slick!
Ah, the bike didn't sell, but I did see it on my FB Marketplace. Not sure why, as it is out East, but they have lowered the price on it, which created a new link.
