For the two day rides planned on the 21st and 22nd we hope (weather permitting) to visit the below attractions, not necessarily in the order presented.

The biggest attraction undoubtedly will be the ride between each attraction. If you've never spent any time riding a motorcycle in the mountains of West Virginia and Virginia you are in for a real treat. Hope to see you there!

No I'm not. I'll try to time our arrival so that the engine will be there so we can see it but that's not a sure thing as it spends most of the time out on the excursion.

Additionally, I'm planning on making the Green Bank telescope the last stop for the day and hopefully there will be time to take the tour for anyone that wants to go on it. At six dollars before the senior discount its worth it and doesn't take too long. I know anyone who has ridden in that area for any amount of time has probably taken the tour already and wouldn't want to take it again so its optional.

Not cheap, but for a railroad buff, well worth the price. Probably the biggest downside is that it requires a few hours of your time, time that may otherwise be used for riding some of the great roads in the area.

The shortest excursion is about 2 hours. However, should it turn out to be a not so good riding day we may take it because the railroad cars have roofs. Its not too far from the hotel. The only time I took it was when I attended and FJR rally in Lewisburg and one of the riding days turned out to be rain off and on so a group of us rode to Cass and took the train to have something to do and keep somewhat out of the elements.

Foul weather backup is not a bad thing to have.
