1976 gl1000 main bearings selection

#1

Post by llennap »

I am restoring a 76 gl1000engine and need to know if there is a specification chart to select the correct main bearing.I have such details for the con rod but not the crankshaft main bearings. In the con rod chart it gives the size of the con rod id and the crank pin od .
Can anyone help with the main bearing sizes.

I don't have it in front of me, but I believe the Honda shop manual gives the details.

There are numbers or letters scribed on the crank shaft and numbers on the block . Then match up on a chart for the richt colour code . There is a post here somewhere of the chart , I beleive Octane posted it for me about a year or so ago . I will look around a bit for it .
