What wheels did I just get?

I have an '81 GL1100 that is supposed to have '83 wheels on it. Rear is 16" and front is 18". The problem is that the previous owner painted them red, so I just bought a new set on Ebay for pretty cheap.

I didn't realize though that the ones on Ebay, also supposedly from an '83, don't look the same and are 15" in the rear and 16" in the front.

Which one is actually from an '83 and can/should I still use the much smaller wheels?

Can or should I still use them? I'm guessing I'd at least need a speedometer sender thing from a 1200. Will I also need the swingarm from a 1200 or will the 1100 one work? Will the driveshaft and final drvie bolt up?

Maybe I'm overthinking it. I kinda felt like it might be too much red and wanted to see it with black wheels. I know the previous owner put in a lot of work painting them red though, meticulously masking off each spoke, so I didn't want to ruin his hard work.
