2015 NGW Eastern Official Announcement-UPDATED

#1

Post by redwood »

Date: Sept. 8-10, 2015

Lodging and Base Camp: PARKSIDE Motel, 540-631-1153, (Mention NGW), 541 S. Royal Ave. Front Royal, VA
22630.
ENTER ON SIDE STREET (STEELE), FRONT ENTRANC IS VERY STEEP!
They are awaiting your call now for a reservation and then will call you back in July to reconfirm and take your deposit.
All the rooms are new refurbished and look very nice. Cost is $50/room (only two people per room) and tax is included in the price. I checked several hotels and this is a great deal in the area especially for such nice rooms. The motel has relatively flat parking. We will have a nice area to sit around and talk in the evenings.

Fee: $10 for opening dinner and a lunch, T-shirts will be extra and you will order them before the rally. More information on that later.

You can sign up by clicking here: http://www.ngwclub.com/catalog/index.ph ... x&cPath=70 (As soon as it is available.) Be sure to include a note to the treasurer rcmatt007 stating that this is for the NGW Eastern registration.

Rides will include a hidden valley in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley, Cave run, and lots of short rides to beautiful places. :crosso

Kick off dinner will be at the motel hosted by Rodger and Beth.
Coffee outside the Mattson's room every morning and short ride to breakfast each morning.
All rides will have lunch site, one has a distillery, and possibly a Brewery anim-cheers1 or winery ride too. No drinking on the rides though :drunk . (Bring it back to the motel with you.)
Thursday farewell dinner will be at a wonderful little spot in Front Royal.
T-shirts are planned, and I am working on the designs now

I will also have a listing of ideas on what to see as you are approaching or leaving our part of Virginia, ie. places to stop on the Skyline drive in Shenandoah National Park, great drives thorough West Virginia into the area. Roads to take from the north down.
Redwood

Three amazing Grandsons and a beautiful granddaughter, four great kids, two crazy cats, a husband who is fun to have around and two great motorcycles, one is an 1200 Interstate currently apart being painted and a Harley. (hey, I believe in riding, and everyone should ride what they love. And I happen to have MBS)

Redwood, thanks for setting this up, I hope I can make the trip. I have ridden thru Front Royal many times. I can tell you from personal experience... Do not stay at the - Shenandoah Motel!
Have lots of bikes... need one more.

Ok there will be a change of venue. I am working at what the best deal will be but there are lots of options. We are still planning to do it the same dates, the week after Labor Day (rates go way down!) Watch this space for more details.

Yeah! It's me in my NEW winter jacket. Great for riding in the cold weather. Just don't wear it in hunting season!

It's a 7 hour ride from my house in Albany, NY to the Front Royal, VA Camp Grounds.. So let me know ahead of time! I have a shin dig in Long Island, NY on Labor Day weekend. I might be able to combine the 2 trips.
Life is short! Live it now because today will NEVER happen again!
