Opening on Friday, September 7th is Ed Youngblood's next major project: Kaizen - the Influence of the Japanese Motorcycle at the Motocyclopdia Museum in Newburgh, NY. This must-see exhibit will feature the top 50 Japanese models - the first exhibit in America dedicated exclusively to classic Japanese motorcycles.

“Kaizen” is a Japanese word that means “beneficial change.” It is also the business philosophy of constant incremental improvement that enabled the Japanese to revolutionize the world motorcycle market.

One of my own GL1000s is among the bikes chosen for display.

I will be at the Grand Opening of the Kaizen exhibit on the morning of September 7th. Make plans to join me there!

Very interesting. I was planning a visit to my Bud's place in Pa sometime in the next couple of weeks and he is only about 180 miles away from this. We were planning to do the HD Factory in York Pa one day and then we could possibly run up to Newburgh the next. Too early to commit but there is a chance.

Unfortunately, I'll be kicking back at one of the dockside bars listening to some local musical talent while partaking of adult beverages in Ocracoke that weekend. Too bad for me :(

The expectation is about 2 years. At least, that was the plan when I "pickled" my bike ...a pretty daunting task to make sure it would be easy to put back into service.

i had a great time at the Kaizen opening. Whiskerfish was there as well.

Not only did the Kaizen exhibit open on Friday, but the Motorcyclepedia Museum in Newburgh, NY also hosted the big send-off event for the Cannonball Run II event - a cross country run by 75+ ancient motorcycles. This was a truly amazing spectacle.
