You know that choke cables always break in the same spot....the plastic housing below the knob. Glue and tape won't work. Either the glue will lock up the cable or the tape will come apart and not hold.
Here's my fix for that weak spot in the cable: Heat shrink tubing, size 3/8 inch, slipped over the cable end and fitted over the broken area of the plastic housing. Have enough tubing to fit below the metal clamp on the cable sheathing. Only a couple inches overall needed. The Honda rubber teardrop shaped part can be cut off. It will no longer be needed as the heat shrink tubing will make a water proof seal and besides, the Honda seal will not allow the tubing to be put in it's intended place.
I get my black heat shrink tubing from Harbor Freight. They have boxes of it in sizes 1/4 to 1 inch.
Sorry, no pictures. It's back on the bike and working like new.

The difficult can be done in a day. The impossible takes a little longer, if you don't know it can't be done.
