MBS.. Gold, silver, Bronze??

Well MBS is hitting me hard and the wife is not too happey, but I had the 1975 goldwing and the 83 (I'm calling it the bronze wing) and now a new to me 1979 silverwing. It was too good a deal to pass up. I saw it running a few years back and the owner just parked it when she got a vstar. It turned over tonight, and wanted to fire, but just not ready to run. I'll pull the carbs this weekend. Would it be too much to paint the goldwing and the silverwing the same red as my areo80?

You'll always know which one is yours.
Congrats on the 'fleet'.

Quick update. Pulled the carbs and decrudded them the best I could, I'm sure I'll clean them again, but at least now they get fuel through them. I got it to start with the choke on and ran some sea foam and other clean through a temp tank, after a while it would idle. Put the tank back on tonight and put some more sea foam and cleaners through it and road it to the gas station. I am certain it was only running on one cylinder. Put two more gallons of fresh gas in and then took the long way home to my house. After 3 miles suddenly the power picked up and she was firing on both cylinders. Went another five miles and made it home.
I did figure the front brakes need a little attention, feels very stiff. The front forks are just sprints.. no rebound or damping.. Also think I have a little antifreeze leak at the back of the engine under the carbs. I'm guessing water pump. Well anyway I'll be spending some time on here tonight reading up on a few more things. I'll get some pictures up once I pull out the power washer.

Be very careful using a pressure washer on a motorcycle. Pressure washers can blow hot, soapy water past wheel bearing seals and other oil seals very easily, leading to premature bearing failures. Not to mention cleaning out contact grease in electrical connectors.
Heck, even a badly aimed garden hose can cause massive electrical problems.

Well got it running great and even built a new 7v linear regulator for the temp gage. I've been having a ton of fun riding this around and have been pretty impressed.

Well with winter coming I put the cx500 on Craigslist and it found a new home. I put a little money in my pocket and had some fun with it, but I really didn't need it.
