Aftermarket Carbs

Some advice,

Maybe thinking about buying some aftermarket carbs (Weber or Holly). Wondering if there is a huge advaantage to these and what models are your best bet. Looking at maybe the Weber IDF40 with Raadak's manifold mod?

Has any body ever used a set of Dellorto 36mm DRLA's on a wing before? they are a little harder to get parts for but are easier to tune then 36 IDF's. 36mm IDF's were never imported in the US in any quantity and were a factory carb used on Fiat's and some other European cars and had a few minor differences then regular IDF's, but Dellorto 36mm were sold here through CB performance for the VW crowd for use on the smaller motors. with the smaller throats it would get port velocity up which should run a little better, but you might have to make the manifold runners smaller at the top to take advantage of it. Dellorto DRLA's have the same bolt pattern as Webers so they are interchangeable with IDF's but unfortunately they are no longer made as far as I know.

You should also check-out the place where I got my manuals at JESSCO motorcycle. They got manifold and carb stuff also. I'm thinking of changing my carbs too. I cant start my bike and keep it running because the carbs are messed up. There pretty expensive.

Yea if you read their page they will sell you what every you want if you buy 10 at a time.

Group Purchase Available NOW! - Spring is Here!

Our Group Purchase Policy currently does not allow for individual sales. With every Group of 10 Pre-Paid Sales we ship within two weeks.

So why would a manufacturer develop a product and sell it only in lots of 10?? My "guess" is because the product does not exist and he really does not want anyone to order it. :dunno: :dunno:

You could always built your own outa pvc piping from home despot.
Quite a few people have done so.
