neutral light buld replacement - how ?

#1

Post by James »

Ok I know it's here someplace but I can't find it :) [an answer]
I have a 1985 stock Goldwing that has a dead neutral light. This one has the guage lights between the tach and speedo which are not digital guages.

With the radio out I can feel and see [with a mirror] the back of the instrument cluster and all the bulb sockets and nuetral light socket with the wires going into it. It is the bottom light and lucky ? for me it is just above the radio cutout. It's a black rubber thing, but I sure can't figure what the next step is to changing the bulb. It almost looks like it is pressed into the hole from the front, as I cant twist it or pull it out. SO, ok tell me how to change the bulb.

James in warm Arizona :)

If it's rubber, they pull out. If it's plastic, a quarter turn counter clockwise will do it.
