GL 1200 stator replacement, rectifier

#1

Post by covidan »

It is a nightmare to replace the stator on the 1200 model , but it is worse to instal a new one and to burn it in few seconds just because of a defective regulator/rectifier. After instaling the new stator, and asked bike mecanics( very good guys) if a defective regulator could damage the new stator ,( the answer was NO), I burned it in less than 1 minute.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS AND REPLACE BOTH NO MATTER WHAT. (BRAND NEW).
:-? Now I have to start all over again to peplace the stator( and cost me more money ,too). :-?
