1975 GL1000 starter removal

[b]I can not get the starter out with out lifting the motor or removing a stud from the head. Help. Any suggetions? I am new to the whole WING experience! Again this is an 1975 GL1000.

Put The Bike On The Center Stand, Remove The Removable Frame Section ( two bolts at the front of the frame where the down tube meets the bottom tube and two bolts at the drivers left footpeg ) And Drop The Exahust (remove header from head and exahust and disconect the hanger from the passenger left footpeg ) From The Left Side And It Will Come Right Out And Go Back In.... Hope This Helps....
