Tear drop trailer is what he has. You can get instructions on how to make them for pretty cheap. If you want to make one look at http://www.harborfreight.com/ and do a search on trailers. Pretty good prices on them, even if you have to put them together.
Going to get one for a bike hauler. Saddly it keeps getting put off till later.

I changed my mind about pulling trailers when I saw a wing flop on an off ramp. He apparently was trying to stop and the trailer pushed the rear wheel right out from under him. He was banged up a little but ok blaming it on the rain that was starting and brought up the oil drippings. Maybe he was right but ...
Spud, I have been pulling trailer for over 12 years and the only reason why a trailer would swipe the rear end is a hitch to low, a trailer hitch behind a motorcycle MUST be minimum at the same high of the axle with the bike loaded (peoples on and saddlebags fill) and the best is 2 inch above the axle (again loaded), I manufacture trailer hitch for motorcycle and all my hitch are that way.
IF TRAILER HITCH IS RIGHT,THEN NO PROBLEMS SHOULD OCCUR.
UNLESS THE RIDER MAKES THE ERROR,ie....TOO FAST,SLOW REACTION TO CONDITIONS,THE LIST COULD GO ON. FEEL WHAT YOU SAW MAY HAVE BEEN A SLIGHT ERROR/MISJUDGEMENT BY RIDER PAYING THE CONSEQUENCES...
