Introducing my Barge

After a few years of riding sport bikes I've come back to my original love, naked wings. I named my '81 the barge, because it's a much bigger bike than I've been used to, but fun on a whole different level.

My bike as purchased:

I've replaced the seat with a Sargent from ebay, and removed the windshield. I found some saddle bags that matched a little better. An electric fuel pump from Randakk and a master cylinder reservoir from crescentmoon, and a few other bits and pieces to get her in top shape. Unfortunately my friend decided to "bounce" an idea off me. The idea being using my bike to slow his down instead of brakes.

So I got her really naked!

Now I have a calico bike, brown front fender with funky graphics, blue tank and sides, sea-foam blue bags, and not seen in this photo a gray rear fender. Paint is in the works for the winter. Also I found some great shape mufflers for it, as the others were knocked off during the accident.

Not that I would recommend it, but to be in a bike vs. bike collision the goldwing is a real tank, I came thru it with very little damage, while my buddy and his ninja weren't so lucky.

Too bad about the accident but it looks like you're back on the right track.

'81's are definitely the best of the lot.
