replaced the rear wheel valve stem... wouldn't hold 38psi for a week at a time. come to find out the valve stem nut on the inside was only finger tight. put in a new 90° stem with the nut on the outside.

I removed the barrel fuse box from my gl1100 and installed a gl1200 blade type fuse box.

Washed the big one couple days ago. If we get done working on the kids car I may try and sneak out for a ride. Weather this week has been pretty nice.

It was pretty straight forward as the wiring matched very well, but it was a cut, splice and solder type of thing. I did have to add an additional fuse holder to accommodate the parking light, of all things. Probably could do without it.
And I do need to get the appropriate sized fuses. Image

Thanks fellows. It took a little head scratching to get started but it is pretty straight forward. Needs a little sanitizing, still.

I did a little work on my '76 Sulphur Yellow build by welding up the small holes in the headers. It wasn't too bad.

I also fished out the disgusting belt covers and got started cleaning them up.

I cleaned the shop up from this weekend's Ball Joint evolution and then put the Naked 1000 on the operating table. New Belts, fresh plugs and an oil change. Got her down to go over everything and my right side turn signal is acting up. Will try to fix that tomorrow then she goes up for sale.

Started reassembling my carbs today using the Randakk kit and video. I reconnected the two banks only to discover, once again, that the choke throttle advance lever was completely out of alignment. In my limited experience, this will happen every time unless one knows enough to return the throttle advance lever into its correct position before one reconnects the two halves. Not wanting to separate the plenum, I removed the throttle advance mechanism from its pivot post, (took some cursing to get the tiny cotter pin out first), then struggled to get it back on the post in the correct position while trying to get the return spring on it's post. That's one thing that I did with my wing today. Blah!

Turn signal is fixed on the nekid 1000. Listed in Market place and getting some decent interest. Supposed to be a bit warmer tomorrow so maybe I will get her out for a last ride out to Waverly for a tank of fresh non-eth. About 90 miles out and back so enough to make me feel confident I am not selling a piece of junk.
