I have been working on the front brakes system on my trike.
Finally replaced all 3
original 1975 date banded brake hose assemblies.

They always passed external safety inspections but internally they were spooge hole polluters.
Rebuilt the master cylinder too. Nothing out of the ordinary there. I feel fortunate to have a very clean master cylinder casting. No corrosion.
Both sides' brake caliper castings are in very good condition. I reckoned their pistons had been marred with jaws of life previous to my first rebuild session in 2012.
For this 2021 rebuild session a new piston and seal took up residence in both calipers.
On the RH side I was successful to remove both caliper socket head bolts that clamp the two caliper sections together.
The LH side though was not as cooperative. One socket head bolt was stubborn and the hex stripped out. The other one cooperated. Decided to replace them as a pair.
Couldn't locate a suitable M10 X 1.25 X 45MM replacement anywhere locally. An online search lead me to an ebay seller.
Actually the best price I had found. But, EXPENSIVE!
Although there was free shipping, with nys st a bundled pair of the Honda precious metal fasteners cost me $21.62. oh well. gotta stop this overweight trike.
