Thermostat, housing, upper water tubes and upper motor mounts all on. I guess wiring harness and shelter frame come next.

Aluminum polished up, brakes begin. Pulled one of the fronts apart, used grease gun to pump the piston out. That's about all I had strength for today.

Forks rebuilt. Took forever for parts to come in. One front caliper ready for assembly, both fronts cleaned and painted. Rears next, then both masters. Brakes is about as expensive as carbs.

All calipers now repainted and rebuilt. Tank mounted for now although it may have to be loosened to run wire bundles. Next, mount the center stand and swing arm. That will make it back-heavy and dictate that the forks follow. Building it back up setting on a furniture dolly is convenient, but you have to watch your sequence and balance things. Get a bit more mounted, and I can roll it out back and fire it up. Then, the wife will let me order new tires.

Took a knotted wire wheel to the rust on my '75 project, then put two good coats of Rustoleum satin black High Temp paint on it. Looks pretty good. Went ahead and mounted the forks, so definitely need to mount the swing arm next. There is a bike show at Knoxville Honda this Saturday. Might ride the Hunley in for it and after I bring it home, store it on the other side of the basement to give room for Pete.

Then, finish preps for out church bike show:

I've thought of Richard several times lately. How is he doing? Thinking about the "time warp" as well

He still makes it to shows and a few of our weekly gatherings. We all miss the tea room, but Twisters has its own pluses.
