so far so good, a little trick is to soak your screws a couple of days ahead of time with penetrating oil. The cardboard template for bolts is a headache saver.

Also use the correct type of Phillips. Most of these have a flat bottom slot so a driver with a sharp point does not fit correctly. I don't remember the name of the correct one but they are obviously different.

I bought new screwdrivers before beginning my tear down and had very little problem if the screw hadn't already been messed up.

That is a ground for a turn signal flasher that has 3 terminals. Not used on US models we use 2 terminal flashers.
Oh,well. I looked around quite a bit and burned up 2 flasher units before finding a 3-prong that worked.
I'm not sure if someone already told you this, but I believe the three-terminal ("prong") relays will allow you to use your turn blinkers also as rear stop lights. I believe the Asp's and Interstate's all do this ....correct me if I am wrong ..... I used a two-terminal relay as I had no idea about the three-terminal relay ....

Thanks for all the info on the third wire guys.
I'm going for the bobber/cafe look, so I want small turn signals that just blink when they are on and nothing when they are off. So if I'm right, 2 wires is all I need.

That's what I have, essentially, no extra lights ...just the bare necessity. ....I am using Triton EL552 two-terminal relay. The electronic relays are good to use if you're going to use LEDs as well.

Sunday was fun day. I started putting some stuff back ON the bike.
The timing belt covers came out nicely. I'll leave them shiny for now. Still pondering painting them black.
I also took off the front tire, shined that up nice.
finished cleaning up the forks and checked the breaks. Breaks look great. no rebuild there.
took off the front chrome bumper and fender. I'm not thinking it's going back on.
Or if it does, it's getting a coat of black paint first. Now that I know how easy it is to take off the front tire. :)

I took out the dremel and cut off the plastic around the ignition key (it was cracked anyway) and pushed the gauges forward and down a little

I painted the shroud around the radiator fan, the radiator brackets and cleaned the fan blades. Now the rest of the radiator looks like crap.
So quick question. Is it ok to paint the top, sides & bottom of the radiator with regular rustolium spray paint? Can i also paint the cooling coils with the same stuff? do i need some HIGH TEMP paint?

Oh yea.. i forgot how this thing goes back on!!! I'll have to look for a doc on that! :)
