Old Fogey: Agreed.

I think I'll try integrating that word into my casual conversations:
Friend: Where'd you go?
Me: Coddliwompling. Why do you ask?

Whiskerfish: I think I just noticed your Firefly quote. That's a great series. For about a decade, I made a point of watching it once a year. I haven't done that in about 6 years. This afternoon, rolling down the highway back from visiting my youngest son, I passed a car with the vanity plate, "IMALEAF." It was not a Nissan EV. I immediately thought of the film Serenity. Concidence? Perhaps this is a sign that I should alter my viewing plans.

Quite disappointed when it ended, I especially wanted to see where they could have taken River Tam's Character. The everyday stuff was entertaining but the potential development of her story I think had huge potential. They ran the movie and the whole series yesterday on the Comet network. Too windy to do much outside so I caught most of it. Not a bad way to waste a day. action1 action1 action1

The movie Serenity is one of my favourites, as is the series. The ship is used in Ready Player One when the masses take the fortress.

Supposedly the plot of Firefly was extended a bit in a couple comics. But I've never read them and I don't know how many got made. I really need to check them out one day.

Firefly was such a solid flash in the pan. I still occasionally use "shiny" in the way the 'Verse intended.
1997 Valkyrie- Light Cutomization, but Too Busy Riding
1980 KZ1300- Bike's Haunted
1976 GL1000 (Yellow)- Behaving Itself Rather Nicely
1974 Velosolex 3800- Better Than Walking
1972 CB750- Learning The Joys of 4 Cable Carbs
1969 CT90- The Most Fun You Can Have on 90ccs.
1965 CA77 Dream- Needs a Full Teardown, but Complete

All advice I give is only valid until an expert corrects me.

Sundays (at least, that past several) must be Japanese monster movie marathons on Comet. We get the network OTA here in the East TN hills. But, no ABC (not that I miss it), CBS rarely, and plenty of QVC, HSN, JTV, etc.
