Getting close now and I still don't have clearance to go. To make matters worse our ac went out today. I think it is the blower motor that died but still waiting on a final diagnosis. The motor has a capacitor and I replace it today, no joy. Cautious bench test of the motor only produced a hum. Same thing it was doing while mounted. Have a friend in the business but he hasn't returned any messages. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good news. The blower motor was indeed the culprit and the replacement was only $125. System is up and the house is cooling down to a more tolerable temperature. Never did hear back from my (friend). Its now back to getting clearance for the trip.

If anyone is bringing a 4 wheel vehicle, throw in a couple of folding chairs. We will be bringing a dining canopy , several chairs, and a portable propane firepit for those cool evenings.

So no room for chairs , but we will be there. On the 18 if I have too....

Packing … hard to decide what jacket … cool in the mornings and hot in the afternoons … I guess mesh jacket and lots of layers

Just had to throw in another challenge today. Been to a local shelter a couple of times and brought one home today. She was a stray and recently had a small litter. Can't officially adopt until she is spayed so we are temporarily fostering. 2 years old and fairly calm. Hope it works out.
