Re: Old Photos of our Riding Past, Bikes and Road
This is me circa '75. Racing ECEA light expert. Pine Barrens,NJ I believe.
It's a RM-125 Suzuki frame with a Poweroll XL125 mill. The gear box was modded with
a lightened crank and TL-125 gear ratios. The bike could do 85mph between sections.
It was a very successful season that finished up with a class win at the Corduroy 2 day Enduro in Canada.

The first bike I ever bought new is the 78 750F. I owned a bunch before this one but don't have any pics. Most of my teen years I practically lived on an XL350.

Nice. Last of the SOHC's. I bought my '77K in '78 with about 1500 miles (Post #1 in this thread). "Almost" new.Whiskerfish wrote:The first bike I ever bought new is the 78 750F. I owned a bunch before this one but don't have any pics. Most of my teen years I practically lived on an XL350.

Re: Old Photos of our Riding Past, Bikes and Road
WF, I love that 78 black 750F. I would like one in my garage.
This is my 1976 yamaha 650 I bought new. Paid $1395 I think. I traded in my 73 honda 450,
it's in the back of the pickup truck. To this day I don't know why I took it apart at his house.
Anyway I put it back together and traded it in for the 650.
I also bought a brand new 1976 honda MR 250. That bike never had the two stroke hit
that the CR,s had. Was not nearly as fun to ride.

I'll trot this old shot of a skinnier me sitting on my old Bonnie circa 1979. My buddy's modified '76 CB750F is in the background. I still had my 750K at the time, but liked the handling of the Triumph on New England's wonderful back roads.

This is my dearly departed 1980 CB900 Custom trike in late 1998.
It had taken me almost 11,000 miles before it and I were tagged from behind.
see post#1 in my build thread for the after wrecked photos.

Re: Old Photos of our Riding Past, Bikes and Road
Found a couple more.
My DREAM bike back in the mid eighties.
Always had pics of wings plastered all over my room.
Made by my sister for Christmas I think...
My Mom and I on my first wing, a '78 She's no longer with us, but great to have these old pics and that bike is still with me!
Diggin' the helmets, wish I still had them.

Miltoncaniff,
Definitely the same rear bars, rails, and turn signal mounts. But I think the bags are different. Mine are just Harley bags, don't know what from. Mine are more sloped down in the rear then what I see in your avatar.
I'll be gone for a few days, but I can get some pics when I'm back.
