Howdy,
Well, I have never seen a 1500 with fuel injection, all the ones I have seen have 2 carberators.

Then, I have never seen a 1200 with fuel injection nor have I ever seen a oxygen sensor on a 1800.
So, I have never been privaliged to see where they are located.

The microsquirt can function just fine without an oxygen sensor. So I am not too worried about the location of the one I have mounted.

We shall see how it works, if it works. I could not see a better place to put it than where it is. I hope to start connecting everything up to the computer and see how the sensors work while running the carberator before the final switch, that will show me what I am looking at for tuning when on fuel injection.

I will try to take some pictures this week and post them.

See Ya,

dancr

Have not done a thing with the bike, been busy with family stuff and worked on my brother's 55 Ford Pickup.
So, have not taken pictures or anything for a while.
Will try to get out to the shop and take some pictures today and post them, that is probably about all I will be able to do. confused22

It was fun driving the 55 Ford Pickup though, I got to drive it from his ranch to the house in town and then to another shop that is going to work on some stuff. It has a 351 Cleveland in it, it is a blast to drive.!!!!! action1

Just about ready to weld in some injector bungs to the intake manifold adapters (elbows) dancr

By the way, the blue bolt is holding the Injector Bug in place for welding, the bolt goes right through the Injector Bung...;)

Are you going to weld it or JBweld?

I was wondering that.
I think it needs removing as it will seriously impede airflow.

To weld or not????????
I just ordered some HTS-2000 Aluminum welding rod (brazing rod) type1
Gonna try it out
So, I may weld the bungs in with the Aluminum magic brazing rod :flamer

The protruding bung, I thought about grinding at a slant before installing (welding) the bung in, I also thought about just leaving it, BUT, I agree it looks like it would reduce air flow into the cylinder some.
Have not decided what to do yet, it will problably not protrude that much when I am done.

Stay tuned.... anim-cheers1

Definitely need to remove the portion protruding into the intake. Not only will it impede air flow, but depending on the mist angle of the injectors, you're probably spraying a good amount of fuel on the walls of that tube.

-Deek

P.S. That jig is pure genius! Even if the rod doesn't work out, you've solved JB Weld's downfall; movement when curing. Great work!

We look forward to seeing how that magic aluminum brazing rod looks and works. That's what I will try if I can't get the hang of DC TIG with helium. I live at the very edge of the world and it's taking me forever to get some argon/helium gas. I bought a whole lot of intake manifolds to practice on. When I get done I'm going to ask Randall to race. heh heh
