Just bumping this to ask about the (what feels like) binding between the lower rubber dust seal and race or ID of the steering neck. Any ideas gents?

The lower seal goes on first - against the bottom tree, followed by the inner race. Is that how you installed them?

Hey Pid, re. the instructions that came with the bearings, I measured the height of the OEM bearing and used the supplied All Balls washer with the new bearing to more or less match that measurement. So, washer went on the stem first, then dust seal then the bearing itself.

Sounds like you're going to have to drop the tubes out again and get eyes on the lower tree and bearing area.
