With the US dollar so high against both the BPS and the Euro this summer would be the time to rent one, whole vacation would be cheaper for US citizens than last summer.

Well, I did say to my knowledge. I did no research on it.rcmatt007 wrote:http://www.edinburghharley-davidson.co.uk/Rentals/Old Fogey wrote:Nowhere in Scotland that I know of renting out bikes, not even to the natives. But that dealer is looking for over $1100 dollars for the cheapest model for 7 days hire! Or $1600 for the dearest.
Let's say you do the regulated 250 miles per day at 40 miles/uk gallon, another $350.
Plus your food, hotels, visitor attractions etc. and your air fare over here (cheapest regular flight for me to get to Doug's in Mich is anywhere from $1000 to $1400 depending on the time of year).
That's a mighty expensive 7 days!

Thanks, Doug. I feel good having your confidence like I do!CYBORG wrote:Yes they have to have a valid drivers license.
that goes without saying.
That being said, no one except very close, and special friends, who I have ridden with extensively, EVER ride one of my bikes.....You know who you are![]()
