Bad Sabre Cycle. It would be very bad if you validate for them, but I too have no idea what prior validation was done.

Good job on the breather.

Thanks Steve & Fred. You got me thinking I should switch over to Honda belts.

Gates belts are what most of us have used. You can get them from any auto parts store. Usually the same or cheaper for both belts as one from Honda. You could also get them from Cascade Cycle. A sponsor of this board. You can check out crossover parts section for part numbers.

Thanks guys

After I bled the front brakes they still felt a little spongy. I went ahead and held the brake lever in with a bungie cord overnight so any air would rise and come through the compensating port in the master cylinder. I also turn the handlebars to the left (positions it better). Worked great, now the brakes are solid.

Not for everyone, but if you bypass the splitter with two lines at the master (double banjo bolt), then they self bleed pretty much. Not sure how you can catch an air bubble once you get the splitter out.

Wife took the pictures and yesssss.... my face looked like I was going trick or treating. Not the first; wouldn't be the last. Its almost a right of passage for polishing.

Thanks. Its the "10' shine job". Looks better than they really are.

Anyone know what kind of ignition I have? Its an odd arrangement with what appears to be only one adjustment for timing? It works, but I'd like to know how to adjust it.

Thought I'd go to the salvage yard this morning. Hit the jackpot with some of the stuff. Found some coolant end caps & tubes in good condition. I'll cut off the float and use the gauge top to seal the tank while its being coated. Not sure about the condition of the diodes or the resistor block. Fuel taps are the rebuildable type (current one isn't)
