I don't see that anyone answered your question about what a headlight bucket is. It is the bowl shaped housing that the headlight is mounted into. It is usually supported by "ears" that are quite often slid onto the front forks as they are assembled to the triple tree. Frequently large amounts of your wiring are hidden behind the headlight within the bucket.

Someone should jump on that seat. I believe those are the ones that have internal springs and are super comfy.. for a bagger...

Front End Renewal Project will walk you through the radiator. It's in ShopTalk too.

Been laid up for the past 2 days. Out of no where I caught a nasty sinus cold. Anyway. I got out bid on a newly and professionally rebuild set of carbs ("Bolt on ready") so now I'll have to save up enough for Randakk's rebuilt kit.
Anyway, I had enough energy to tackle some of the wires in the front. Also drained the radiator. I also power washed the bike Monday night before I got sick.

I'm fearful that this is quickly turning into a long term project that I wanted to be over already.

hard to see but i'm going to try and hide most of this mess inside the shroud / false tank. I'll fabricate some kind of metal shield for it so the wires don't get rubbed by the false tank or anything.

More Parts are piling up!! Anyone interested? I'm going to start some ebay auctions for this stuff. LOT's to go around.
I was hoping to get enough $$$ to afford Randakk's rebuild kit.
-Beat up Fairing
-old windshield with vent
-saddle bags that don't have the weather strip any more and the covers blow off
-trunk (the bottom isn't even real.. if you look at the first pic in this thread, it's some fiberglass box my dad slapped on) with real top and luggage rack
-saddle bag rack (chrome but rusty)
-rear bumper (trunk sits on this part)
too much to list..
Oh, I took the radio out, second hand cb, and the fairing wireing harness. I'm keeping the harness because i'll need it for the headlight and turn signals. So the Fairing is completely empty. Other than the harness, you can have all the junk that goes with it.

Honda uses green for ground. Hard to say what that one goes to from here.

After i use Randakk's kit and rebuild the carb, will it be safe to ride to my mechanic (about 10 miles) and have him sync the carbs? I don't have the vacuum meters to do it.

Yeah, that won't hurt it at all.

That is a ground for a turn signal flasher that has 3 terminals. Not used on US models we use 2 terminal flashers.

Oh,well. I looked around quite a bit and burned up 2 flasher units before finding a 3-prong that worked.

OK so, I'm about to enter the world of EBAY and start selling some of this stuff to afford Randakk's kit and oil and .... yea.. all that..
FUNDS are LOW..
So I'm giving everyone on the Naked Gold Wing site first dibbs.

I've been using photobucket for ages. They are free and easy to use.
I haven't put any descriptions on any of these photos yet, you guys all know this stuff better than me anyway. I'll entertain any offer. Just don't treat me like a fool. I'm not selling the front fairing for 5 bucks. You pay for shipping and I'll ship it.
I'm going to start selling on ebay next week.
