braking time
it turned out that I had a wonderfull combination laying around.
an aftermarket wheel for a GL 1000, ZZR 1100 front end, Braking calipers from a Fireblade and discs from a Ducati make a nice match and just needs some spacering/ adaptering

I never knew that a GL wheel is assymmetric...
allthough the discs are exactly the same the hub is on the left side 4 mm wider then on the right...
if fixxed it in the adapters so now everything is symmetric,

Is that to be a single rotor set-up? Looks great.

Could that not be down to the width of the speedo drive?
You would probably find the later Comstars are the same for the opposite side, with the drive on the left.

No, double set up
Lets try to make stoppies with a goldwing

i m more into facebook currently
but I keep on going
removed this old and non damping shockabsorber
WP_20160104_004.jpg
by a new one
WP_20160104_005.jpg
fitted in very easily. only needed to replace bushing in the lower mounting point and add two spacers to the top mounting
Now modifying the frame to fit the 1200 engine
first i was thinking of adding a curve in the tube and keep the Original position
WP_20160104_006.jpg
but moving it upwards for an inch seems more simple and better looking
WP_20160105_001.jpg
WP_20160105_002.jpg
but i m worried about the stiffness of the rear end, so I m considering of taking a look tonight if I can replace the one tube by two crossing tubes holding also the pivot point of the swing arm
Or I will keep the horizontal one and add a few triangles towards the pivot point.
depends on which option looks the best

this is how it ended
WP_20160107_017.jpg
but first I modified the swingarm to avoid it intervering the ignition module
WP_20160107_002.jpg
WP_20160107_009.jpg
then added the triangles so I'm sure i can still get the swingarm in and out

That is certainly one way to deal with the 84 ignition problem! Great job!

I dissambled the crashed sidecar this weekend so now I have a good comparison between a the new frame and the "Original" one
WP_20160110_006.jpg
the frame is as far finished now that the 1200 engine fits in smoothly. so no I can continue the puzzle
